The Timex Sinclair 2020 Program Recorder was an analog cassette recorder with a tape counter and a VU/LEVEL meter to optimize cassette LOADing and SAVEing.

It uses an external 6V power supply or 4 AA batteries and it is a rebranded SAMPO K-8 cassette recorder.
