The ZX Dandanator is, in broad terms, a game cartridge for the Spectrum. Since it is a peripheral for external memory (eeprom), it allows for the reading of games in a “cartridge” mode, and to load programmes in a snapshot format (SNA and Z80), but also in TAP and ROM.

The contents can be updated in the Spectrum itself, without the need for any additional hardware: through audio, through the Kempston output port or, even, through the Divide/DivMMC.
