SOFTWARE
In here we have displayed an array of software pieces related to Portugal and TIMEX.
We have Spectrum’s first game created in Portugal and sold by Gremlin: “Alien Evolution”, by Rui Tito and Marco Paulo Carrasco, from Portimão. These are copies autographed by the creators, when they came to Cantanhede – we have an original and a Portuguese pirated copy.
We also have a “copy” of the renowned “Paradise Café”, an unavoidable Spectrum game in Portugal, which was based on themes like sexuality and the urban legend that involved a Benfica football player: Reinaldo. The author of the game signed the creation under the name Damatta and, still to this day, we do not know who that person really is.
As examples of software, we have showcased the COPIADOR software, by Astor, and the ALFACONT, by Alfamicro.
We have on display various versions of TC2068 cartridges, in particular the Portuguese emulators (in black or grey) and the Polish emulator (Unipolbrit).
We have also displayed the “Flight Simulator” game cartridge for the TS2068, as an example of these kinds of pieces.
