TIMEX COMPUTER TC2068

Having a design similar to the American TS2068, it is a computer with major modifications introduced by TIMEX Portugal. The first noticeable change is the fact that it works with 9V, like the Spectrums, and not with 15V, as the TS2468.

This Portuguese computer was very popular in the country and, due to its abilities, it was also the target of a lot of admiration from international computer lovers. It is more compatible with the Spectrum than its’ American sibling due to the use of a cartridge with ZS Spectrum’s ROM. Unlike the Spectrum, it did not use Ferranti’s ULA technology, but rather a Gate Array that was the result of TIMEX’s collaboration with INESC.

It was released both in Silver and Black.
