ZX81 KEYBOARDS
ZX80 and Zx81’s membrane keyboards were always very unpleasant to use due to the lack of tactile feedback when a key was pressed.
To minimize that unpleasantness there have always been external keyboards available, which were more professional and substituted the original keyboard.
Even though there were more complex options available, which entailed housing the computer (mainly ZX81) into another computer frames/carcases, here we are going to highlight the simpler and more ingenuous solutions. One of those solutions consisted in gluing a new keyboard onto the original one, of which solution we have two examples in exhibition.
