SINCLAIR ZX SPECTRUM +3 AND +3B

The ZX Spectrum +3 is a model which had a floppy disk drive instead of a recorder, allowing for the immediate loading of games and programmes. It was inspired by Amstrad’s SPS128 (also sold under Schneider branding), which you can see on this showcase. It was also inspired by the PCW8256, one of Amstrad’s first computer that used a 3” floppy disk system, and that is exposed in the next room.

The ZX Spectrum +2B and +3B were both released in 1988 and had, mainly, changes to the audio, since it had a bug issues.

The +3 on display is an English version with a Z70830 board (like the one on the window), but it is the version 1, which is very rare.
