SYSTEM 2000 MARK II AND SYSTEM 3000

SYSTEM 2000 MARK II

In 1968 Clive Sinclair and his brother created System 2000. This was an attempt to reach end-consumer market, seeing as the Sinclair company already had all the necessary components to create an hi-fi system (amplifiers, radios, speakers, …). Despite its’ appealing looks, it did not have much success.

The radio tuner did not work very well.

There were created at least two versions of the product: the regular one and the Mark-II (being shown in this exhibit). Over the showcase, assembled and in working condition, you can observe the radio tuner and amplifier from the regular model.

SYSTEM 3000

The System 3000 is an improved model, from 1972, able to offer two times 17 RMS watts. The radio tuner also being presented is fairly uncommon, as has been stated by people versed in this area of knowledge.
