Hello,
Welcome!
The City of Cantanhede and the Spectrum Generation Association welcome you to the LOAD ZX Spectrum Museum. It is the first in the world that is dedicated to one of the first personal computers, created in 1982.

In Portugal, England, Spain and so many other places, this was the first computer we all had access to. This created a technical revolution that started to take its’ first step in that very moment.
In here we pay homage to the entrepreneurs that made it possible for this computer to come to life.
In here we highlight the role that Portugal played the entire process, with the TIMEX factory.
In here we remember the videogames that made the ZX Spectrum so well-known.
In here we find out that the ZX Spectrum is, after all, more alive than ever. This is due to the new games and, even, new computers still being created and marketed.
Enjoy the visit.
You are free and welcome to take pictures and videos.
Share them on social media and, if you can, leave us some feedback on our Tripadvisor page.
More than anything, we hope you have lots of fun and come back to ZX Spectrum’s home, any time you please.
Thank you for your visit.
