Visit Guide

THANK YOU
SO MUCH FOR YOUR VISIT

We have reached the end of this visit, and we hope you enjoyed it.

This is a museum that is alive and that we will keep updating and adding more to anytime something new comes up.

However, we still have some important things to tell you:
  • If you have any questions, if you want to make any suggestions on how we can improve our exhibition or just to get in contact with us, you can talk to one of our associates or contact us through our official channels on our website. If your question is about any theme related specifically to the Spectrum, we encourage you to talk with our curator João Diogo Ramos, whom will have all the pleasure talking and getting to know you.
  • We also hope you can help us spread the word about our work by sharing pictures on social media and telling your friends and family about us.
  • If you want to help us out, we would really appreciate if you could leave some feedback on TripAdvisor and/or Facebook! That is something that give us credibility and helps our next visitors plan their visit.
  • We also suggest you give us a like on Facebook and follow our page so that you are always up-to-date on any news we have.

  • Lastly, we want to tell you that if you would like to, you can take us home with you. This visit guide – – which we will keep adding on to and improving over time – is available to be visited anywhere with an Internet connection.

João Diogo Ramos’ Thank You Notes

(Exhibition curator and Museum co-founder)

The LOAD ZX Spectrum Museum is a project that involves a massive multidisciplinary team. I want to congratulate and thank each and every single one of those individuals, for helping bring to life this generational homage.

To our associates at the Câmara Municipal de Cantanhede (Cantanhede’s City Council):

    • To the project’s operational team:
      • Mário Martins, Carlos Gregório, Maria Carlos, Pedro Cardoso
      • A very special thank you to Mário, who is a lesser-known face but who was an essential part of this project and that designed the entire visual part of this exhibit.
      • To the entire Culture Division and its’ associate who embraced this project with extreme dedication, both in the Museu da Pedra (where we started off) and in the LOAD Museum.
      • To all the associates that worked on adapting the space.

To the various elements of the Associação Geração Spectrum, that came together to make the project more professional.

To the many volunteers and friends who helped make the activities more dynamic, who helped produce content, collect information, put together the exhibition and so many other things. Now, I will have to name a few, those that up until now have invested more time in this project. Hoping to not forget anyone (please, do forgive me if I do) and omitting those who are still working to make it to this restricted list that will keep being updated:

  • Álvaro Lopes, Ana Grilo, André Leão, António Fresco, Bruno Fonseca, Bruno Silva, Caratina Gralheiro, Filipe Veiga, Jarrod Bentley, João Encarnado (Timex Computer World), Jorge Pois, Leigh Thompson (Micro Museum), Luís Ribeiro, Marcus Garrett, Pedro Loureiro (It’s a Pixel Thing), Pedro Pimenta, Pedro Ratola, Ricardo Cruz, Vasco Gonçalves.
  • To all our collector friends that have lent object and items to this museum, items we so dearly needed. A special thank you to: Henrique Souto and Rafael Lanita.

To those who donated objects to the Museum and to whom we publicly say thank you in our Facebook and official website (Hall of Thanks section).

To all our suppliers that, sometimes under very unusual circumstances, I challenged to help us.

To all patrons that sponsored us and our project and vision…

… and to all the other institutions and organizations that helped us achieve our goals.

Lastly, do not forget to visit our partner’s museums. One of them is right next door!

To everyone, and those who I might be forgetting,
my heartfelt THANK YOU!!
